An error occurred while saving the comment Jonathan Ravens commentedThis could be relaitively easy to do, since the NOAA website has a tool somewhere where you can get the declination at any coordinate (and at any time for the past few decades as I recall - useful when you're trying to correct old cave survey data!).

I agree with this, and also to display the compass bearing for each line segment, relative to grid north. Calculating the simple height difference between waypoints would also be useful.
